Highway to Heresy - Part 2

Well, this looks like it's a very short highway really as the release date for the Horus Heresy Rulebook has been confirmed.

Ta-da!

So when, pray tell, is this glorious day? The answer is even shorter than the one given in part one - Friday.

Yes, that's right brethren and sistren, you can pre-order the Age of Darkness Rulebook in five days time.

"But Tom," I hear you all shout, "what is actually changing? You've teased a few changes but we want more!"

Please, one at a time! Firstly, from the article posted on the Warhammer Community page (found here) very little is changing. It's functionally the 7th edition Warhammer 40,000 rules we all know and love with "...some balance changes based on community feedback". 

Secondly - more teasers, you say? Well in that case it'd be rude not to...

I see Death Guard and Ultra Marines are depicted in battle. Definitely not retrospective foreboding for 8th ed...

As you can see, this shows that it is all but a re-skinned 7th edition rulebook. Don't get me wrong, there will be the amendments included that I have mention and it will also incorporate any 7th ed. FAQs and erratas, where applicable.

For a more comprehensive Q&A on the Horus Heresy Rulebook see the article prepared by the Warhammer Community team, but in my opinion they have not answer one of the most important questions:

Battle Report: Sons of Horus vs Imperial Fists and Space Wolves

Battle Report (20th May 2017) First battle report - well, you've got to start somewhere! A bit of history with this one - in a previous battle the Sons of Horus had a convincing win against the Space Wolves and Imperial Fist and they demanded a rematch. Read on for the result... Combatants Sons of Horus - Lewis Sons of Horus (Luna Wolves) - Tom (XVth) vs. Imperial Fists - Dave Space Wolves - Liam Setup The battle was 6000pts aside, and with a Primarch and a warhound titan on each side mayhem and destruction was assured. Dawn of Warhammer Fest

It's almost upon us! This Saturday is that start of a weekend centred around all things Warhammer. I will be giving updates via the Facebook page throughout the first day, so you can think of this as the pre-event build up. Let's see what we have to look forward to! Seminars and Demo Pods Of course, there are the presentations which will include news on the next batch of models to be released, painting demos for the new plague marines, the chance to meet some of the authors of the GW novels, and more. I will be booking my ticket for the Future of Warhammer seminar as soon as I arrive so will hopefully be able to give you an update around midday. Saturday's plan of attack: get there, get in room 1 for 11am, do Warhammer stuff. Done.
