Highway to Heresy - Part 3


Well this highway has taken an unexpected turn. It's even becoming a bit of a roller-coaster...

Damnit, Forge World, you had one job!

Yes, you've read right. The rulebook has been delayed; this is a sad for heretics and loyalists alike. This has come at very short notice, seeing as we were told today would be the day it could be pre-ordered. Apparently this decision was reached "Following a print quality check...", so at least that means that they might actually be checking for typographical errors for a change!

But enough of being annoyed as it won't actually bring the book out any quicker. Let's instead use this time to speculate further.

Firstly, will this still be coming out this month? I hope so, I truly do. Delaying the book is annoying but we still have practically an entire month to go. So, if it does come out this month what can we expect to pay?

This is an interesting question. It's been shown that it will be a red book so, using that logic, I would like to think it will be around the same price as the others - £32. However, it has been known that premiums have been put on some products, such as rulebooks, in the past. As much as I do hold out for it being £32, I'm budgeting £40 considering this.

C'mon, Forge World, don't disappoint us again!

Hopefully we won't have to wait too long until we can pre-order, and in the meantime please enjoy a wallpaper kindly provided by Warhammer Community (available here). This wallpaper depicts the callous slaughter of the Thousands Sons as they are forced to defend themselves against the thoughtless and merciless persecution at the hands of the Space Wolves for doing nothing more than expanding their knowledge. Not that I'm bias or bitter.

I've just contacted Forge World and can confirm the price - the Horus Heresy Age of Darkness Rulebook will be releasing at £40.

Battle Report: Sons of Horus vs Imperial Fists and Space Wolves

Battle Report (20th May 2017) First battle report - well, you've got to start somewhere! A bit of history with this one - in a previous battle the Sons of Horus had a convincing win against the Space Wolves and Imperial Fist and they demanded a rematch. Read on for the result... Combatants Sons of Horus - Lewis Sons of Horus (Luna Wolves) - Tom (XVth) vs. Imperial Fists - Dave Space Wolves - Liam Setup The battle was 6000pts aside, and with a Primarch and a warhound titan on each side mayhem and destruction was assured. It was standard Dawn of War deployment and Mission 6 from the Age of Darkness book - War of Lies. Sons of Horus won the roll off and chose for the Fists and Wolves to deploy first. Dawn of Warhammer Fest

It's almost upon us! This Saturday is that start of a weekend centred around all things Warhammer. I will be giving updates via the Facebook page throughout the first day, so you can think of this as the pre-event build up. Let's see what we have to look forward to! Seminars and Demo Pods Of course, there are the presentations which will include news on the next batch of models to be released, painting demos for the new plague marines, the chance to meet some of the authors of the GW novels, and more. I will be booking my ticket for the Future of Warhammer seminar as soon as I arrive so will hopefully be able to give you an update around midday. Saturday's plan of attack: get there, get in room 1 for 11am, do Warhammer stuff. Done.
