- - - CALLING ALL HERESY PLAYERS - - -


It must be said that the 30k scene seems to have died down a little, or at least it has in my local area. I personally love it: the lore, the characters, and, of course, the game! As such, I want to see you (yes, you) share your passion for it too in the hope that it will encourage a few more games and maybe pique the interest of some new players.

There may not be all the Primarchs here, but we still want you all involved!

Every week for the next six weeks I'd like to see what you have done with The Horus Heresy as follows:

Week 1 (5th March)

Post a picture of your army no matter how little or large, painted or otherwise.

Week 2 (12th March)

Everyone has had that one moment in the middle of a game that has made you laugh. Tell us your funny stories that have happened to you mid-game.

Week 3 (19th March) 

Let me see your best models - best painted, best converted, it doesn't matter so long as it's something you're proud of. Don't think this has to be comparable to something produced by the 'Eavy Metal team; I'm not specifically requesting professional quality, just YOUR best.

Week 4 (26th March)

What are your gaming sins? Never finished that heavy squad? Still haven't even got your land raider assembled? Let me know, we're all human and all drop the ball now and then. This is the moment you realise you're not alone and that someone has done worse (probably me).

Week 5 (2nd April) 

Make up some fluff about your army. Perhaps you have a bold serg, a cunning squad, or mischievous praetor. Tell me what you think part of your army would have been up to in the 31st millennium.

Week 6 (9th April)

What's the newest addition you've built or painted for your army? Show it off, maybe tell us why you've chosen that model/unit, especially if it's a little unexpected. You gain a bonus pat on the back if you've managed to get this done since week 1's photo, and another again if it's rectifying a sin!

Battle Report: Sons of Horus vs Imperial Fists and Space Wolves

Battle Report (20th May 2017) First battle report - well, you've got to start somewhere! A bit of history with this one - in a previous battle the Sons of Horus had a convincing win against the Space Wolves and Imperial Fist and they demanded a rematch. Read on for the result... Combatants Sons of Horus - Lewis Sons of Horus (Luna Wolves) - Tom (XVth) vs. Imperial Fists - Dave Space Wolves - Liam Setup The battle was 6000pts aside, and with a Primarch and a warhound titan on each side mayhem and destruction was assured. It was standard Dawn of War deployment and Mission 6 from the Age of Darkness book - War of Lies. Sons of Horus won the roll off and chose for the Fists and Wolves to deploy first. Dawn of Warhammer Fest

It's almost upon us! This Saturday is that start of a weekend centred around all things Warhammer. I will be giving updates via the Facebook page throughout the first day, so you can think of this as the pre-event build up. Let's see what we have to look forward to! Seminars and Demo Pods Of course, there are the presentations which will include news on the next batch of models to be released, painting demos for the new plague marines, the chance to meet some of the authors of the GW novels, and more. I will be booking my ticket for the Future of Warhammer seminar as soon as I arrive so will hopefully be able to give you an update around midday. Saturday's plan of attack: get there, get in room 1 for 11am, do Warhammer stuff. Done.
